Chatting with Katie about how bad Twimblr the starly is at fighting bidoofs.

me:  twimblr is not very good with bidoofs
 Katie:  ouch
I mean it’s a speed pokemon
at a stage in the game when speed barely matters
 me:  lolol
yeah
i think she has a bad speed iv too
 Katie:  wooow
 me:  lolol
it is okay
she can be terrible
she’s adorable anyway
 Katie:  like her namesake
 me:  haha
Katie:  adorable, female, terrible, and lots of bickering
sums up tumblr
Starly’s pokedex entry: Because they are weak individually, they form groups. However, they bicker if the group grows too big.

Casual notice that this music is basically amazing and why aren’t you listening to it right now.

Greencard application approved, woo! I get to stay. c:

Accidentally getting stuck in the middle of the hallway, bouncing from one wall to the other in an effort to emulate a clock.

Katie and I were just going about our grocery shopping as normal (self-checkout at walmart woo), keying in some plums and mango when suddenly donut.

it’s a good day when your togepi uses roar of time

Mine pulled Judgment on a Rattata recently. Togepi are very powerful creatures.

Currently going through the very surreal feeling of discovering that a bird character I started drawing as a preteen actually exists. Well, a species that closely resembles him, anyway.

Snippet of drawing from 2006 or 2007. Can’t seem to track down an older one, though he’d been around for like five years by then.

Couple of drawings from 2012.

Now, this character has always been named Crest and I’ve always considered him a hawk (albeit a blue one)… Although when I looked hawks up, he didn’t really look like one.

Or so I thought.

Pacific baza, also known as the crested hawk.

They even look blue in the right light.

I am so confused.

I’m also kind of excited because I finally have some references to go by (I’m so bad at birds, as those old drawings may let on). Crest had “imaginary friend” status when I was younger and has stayed as sort of a mental companion through the years even if I don’t think about him much anymore, but this is so neat. o:

For those who don’t play TSW (like presumably most of my followers), the Bird of the Zero Point Pathogen is an event beasty that can be fought every three hours (typically twice pr window).
Since I joined in on the event waaay late, my life this weekend has basically been Flappy, but I got the achievement and those of the rewards that I wanted, so yes. >:o

On a different note, I see that the pokemon pinnipeds got an infinity of notes today. Excellent.

MEANWHILE

I’ve been busy playing TSW again (leaving the Potatodile run on hold although I have some drawings I need to make of that). Flappy here, Flappy there, Flappy errywhere. Every three hours, anyway.
